I started taking pictures of the world around me when my Dad gave me a Kodak
Instamatic camera for my 7th birthday.
Later he gave me his old Polaroid and his
old 35 mm he brought back from World War II.
Following an intense summer of babysitting, I purchased my first Nikon FM
in 1976 and have seriously been shooting since then.
In high school, I was known as the girl with the camera.
Photojournalism Experience
During my days at UMASS-Amherst, I worked part-time as a Photo. Tech. for the UMASS
Daily Collegian, the largest daily in Western Mass! Here I honed my skills as a
photojournalist shooting features and covering the concerts at the Blue Wall, the Student
Union Ballroom and the Fine Arts Center.
I now have over 30 years of photographic experience!
The Digital Age
In the spring of 2007, I made the leap to digital and started shooting with a Nikon D80.
I also started seriously shooting underwater photos as I am an avid diver too!!!
I now have over 10 years experience in underwater photography
I now shoot with a Nikon D300s, and LOVE IT! I also shoot with a Panasonic Lumix LX5
